Our Speech and Language Therapists play a vital role in supporting children and young people with communication, language, and social interaction needs. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised 1:1 and small group speech and language interventions in school settings.
- Assess pupils' communication needs and create clear, targeted therapy plans.
- Adapt therapy approaches to suit individual developmental levels and communication styles.
- Support pupils in developing speech, language, social communication, and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and wider professionals.
- Maintain detailed session notes, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to creating a calm, consistent, and positive communication-friendly environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience delivering therapy to children or young people (schools experience preferred).
- HCPC registration (or eligibility to register).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Desirable: Experience working with students with SEND, including ASD, DLD, or SEMH needs.
- Experience working within mainstream or specialist school settings.
- Confidence delivering both direct therapy and indirect support (e.g., staff training, resources).
