Overview

Mental Health Support Worker Leyland – £31,422.24-£31,672.16 DOE (including sleeps).

We are seeking compassionate and motivated Mental Health Support Workers to support adults with complex mental health and forensic backgrounds to live independent, fulfilling lives within the community.

No two days are the same.

You could be supporting someone to attend appointments, access education or employment, manage their tenancy, develop hobbies, build confidence, or simply enjoy their local community.

Note: This role is provided by the Find a Job Service from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Responsibilities

  • Support adults with complex mental health and forensic backgrounds to live independently within the community.
  • Assist with attending appointments, accessing education or employment, managing tenancy, developing hobbies, building confidence, and engaging in local community activities.
  • Provide compassionate, person-centred support and maintain safety and well-being of service users.
  • Adapt to changing daily priorities and work collaboratively with the team.
  • What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
  • Experience in mental health, supported living, social care, or similar settings.
  • Positive, resilient and person-centred approach.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible to work shifts, sleep-ins and alternate weekends.
  • Drivers preferred but not essential.
