Overview
Role: FLT / Forklift Truck Driver. Immediate start available for suitable applicants. Role available: 1 x Bendi / Pivot / Flexi, 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday - £13.50 an hour. The above weekly wage is subject to tax / national insurance / pension, on a 37.5 hour week. The role is a set shift pattern and is not a rotating shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate relevant Forklift Truck in a busy warehouse setting.
- Load and unload goods and materials from delivery vehicles.
- Move stock to designated storage areas and organise inventory within the warehouse.
- Ensure that stock is handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement, including materials received and dispatched.
- Perform regular safety checks and report any faults or issues with equipment.
- Always adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, such as picking and packing when required.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
Role and qualifications
- Carry out general warehouse duties, alongside FLT driving.
- Licences considered: Flexi / Bendi / Pivot (essential) forklift experience, in-house or external (RTITB, ITSSAR, BRITTop or relatable TOPS UK Operator number certified).
- Certification/operator card dated within the past 3 years (proof of certification / operator card / refresher required).
- Previous experience working as an FLT driver within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks, such as lifting and moving stock.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude to work.
