We are seeking to appoint an Advanced Teacher to provide short and medium-term cover across a variety of 16-18 subjects and to provide 1:1 support and CPD for teaching staff across college. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an innovative, flexible and creative teacher capable of delivering an outstanding student experience at relatively short notice across a range of classes. Ideally, we are seeking to appoint a highly experienced and effective teacher with a STEM background.
It is anticipated the successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who also has the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform other duties commensurate with an Advanced Teacher role. For example, to:
- Design and deliver CPD sessions
- Coach and mentor others to further improve their performance
- Carry out research about teaching, learning and support and share the findings with others through Staff Update articles, social media & 1:1 sessions
- Keep up-to-date with the latest teaching, learning, assessment and support initiatives
