A nursery school in Northfield, a client of Ambassadors Resourcing, is looking for a compassionate, hard-working Level 3 Early Years Practitioner with a current Paediatric First Aid certificate and experience supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities, ideally speech and language difficulties and autism.

The role requires the successful candidate to work full-time, potentially until the end of the Summer Term 2026, to support children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in the nursery school’s 6 place resource base.

Job Description

The successful Level 3 Early Years Practitioner will:

  • Demonstrate a passion for working with children in the Early Years, including children with SEND, and understand the importance of meeting every child’s individual needs and interests by effectively supporting them in their learning activities.
  • Have sound knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Have experience, knowledge and understanding of working in an Early Years setting with children with SEND, ideally speech and language difficulties and autism.
  • Be flexible, dynamic and compassionate, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Actively promote and support safeguarding of all children, ensuring that all the policies and procedures of the schools and Ambassadors Resourcing are followed at all times.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, inspiring and inclusive environment.
  • Engage in excellent communications with the Head, SENCo and nursery team, parents/carers.
Requirements

The successful Level 3 Early Years Practitioner must have:

  • Level 3 in Child Care and Education or the equivalent.
  • A minimum of GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English, or the equivalent if a Level 3 candidate.
  • A current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of working with children with SEND.
  • A commitment to working full-time until the end of the Summer Term 2025.
  • An enhanced DBS and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and have a legal right to work in the country.
  • Acceptable reference checks dating back two years from previous employers or educational institutions.
