What skills and experience we’re looking for: Churnet View Middle School, part of The Talentum Learning Trust, is a welcoming and inclusive secondary school aiming to support every pupil to achieve their full potential.

Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate professional to inspire pupils across the Science curriculum. The successful candidate will bring experience teaching Science at least across two key stages, with a strong desire to raise attainment and aspirations for all learners.
Experience in KS2 and/or KS3 is particularly relevant, but candidates with a secondary background are very welcome to apply.
Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcomed.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching Science across the curriculum, with flexibility to deliver other subjects within the wider school programme as required. Potential for progression to Head of Subject or TLR where experience is appropriate.
Contract and Compensation
Position: Science Teacher (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: September 2026 (later dates considered pending notice periods)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time
Pay: Main Scale £33,673 to Upper Scale £52,222 per annum
