Job Details

The role is based at Keepers Cottage Residential, a rural service located 2 miles outside Ledbury. You should be able to travel to and from the workplace by public transport or your own vehicle. Two work vehicles are available on site for transporting people we support. Shift pattern: 7.5‑hour shifts, with flexibility to do longer days if preferred. Shifts may vary daily between 7 am and 10 pm, with more evening than morning shifts. You will be expected to work 2 weekends out of every 4 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Support people with personal care, cooking, and household tasks.
  • Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
  • Help people build independence, friendships, and new skills.
  • Join in with activities, hobbies, and community events.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Kind, patient, and eager to learn – no prior care experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Valid right to work in the UK. (This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship; candidates must have at least two years remaining on their current visa.)
