Handyperson / Maintenance Operative
Location: Near Ledbury / Colwall, Malvern (HR8 Area). Salary: Depending on Experience. Hours: Full-time. Work Location: On-site full time / Permanent.
We are seeking a reliable and hands‑on Handyperson / Maintenance Operative to join a friendly team in a well‑established care home.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building maintenance and repairs.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating works.
- Conduct routine health & safety and compliance checks.
- Maintain the external grounds and communal areas.
- Liaise with external contractors where required.
- Ensure maintenance issues are resolved efficiently and safely.
Essential Qualifications
- Previous experience within a maintenance, facilities, or handyperson role.
- Good all‑round practical maintenance skills.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures.
- Friendly and professional approach.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience within a care home, hospitality, or residential environment.
- Basic electrical or plumbing qualifications.
