Queenswood School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to join our team. As a HLTA, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and follow the school's policies and procedures.

Queenswood School is an independent specialist day school in a rural location in Herefordshire, specialising in the education and care of children and young people aged 11 to 19 who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum. We provide a warm and nurturing environment and a dedicated staff team that build positive, meaningful connections with pupils.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher
- Ensure that students complete the work set by their teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy
- Provide support and assistance to students as needed
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Desirable but not essential: previous experience in a similar role
- Commitment to the educational development of students
Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence, as you may be required to go off site
- Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening and checks with the Disclosure & Barring Service
- Provide at least two references covering the last three years from work with children or vulnerable adults
