General Dynamics Land Systems is looking for a Learning & Development Business Partner to join our team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £44,000 to £55,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.

Joining an established team based at our Merthyr facility, you will work across a range of stakeholders, and be responsible for the design, delivery, and management of Learning & Development programmes within the Land Systems business unit. This will cover the full scope of activities; from shop-floor competency-based training all the way through to leadership development programmes, including managing funding arrangements with provider partners/government.

If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:

  • Liaison with the relevant functional Managers to ensure all training requirements are being met and recorded
  • Coordinate annual TNA of functions in order to collate into a whole Org training plan
  • Support management of centralised training budget, exploring funding options.
  • Manage online training programmes, and develop the use of LMS.
  • Support ISO audits and accreditation.
  • Provide monthly reports to Managers and employees detailing current training status and goals
  • Partner with the Enterprise Excellence Team in CI activities and initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree Level Education
  • Formal L&D qualification
  • Experience using a range of LMS systems & packages (Articulate & SAP Success Factors is desirable).
  • CIPD accreditation desirable
  • Experience of working in Manufacturing, Automotive/Defence is desirable
