Responsibilities:

  • Distribution of linen from the Central Linen Store.
  • Monitoring all wards against daily demand figures and forwarding to the Laundry.
  • Receive and sort all clean linen from the Laundry and pack per ward against agreed daily demand.
  • Operate as part of a team when directed by Team leader/Supervisor.
  • Keep floors and equipment clean at all times, regularly sweeping floors and reporting faults in equipment to the Team leader/Supervisor.
  • Ensure that personal conduct and hygiene are of the highest standard whilst on the hospital premises.
  • Notify supervisor or other relevant staff of faulty equipment, building/equipment repairs, maintenance requirements, and requests for personal protective equipment/light equipment.
  • Responsible for working in a safe manner.
  • Attend relevant training courses as directed.
  • Attend an annual appraisal, providing appropriate evidence.
  • Prepare and deliver stock to wards, as per stock sheets on a top-up basis and record what has been issued.
  • Keep open lines of communication with ward staff to ensure they are aware of where you are in the process of doing i.u audit / stock take / delivery.
  • Use appropriate PPE in regards to working in patient area.
  • Ensure end users receive agreed daily demand which will be processed as per ISO 9001:2015 Quality standards.
