Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEMH needs in small groups of no more than six.
- Assist with behaviour regulation strategies and emotional support.
- Help pupils engage positively in learning and develop confidence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver tailored support.
- Provide one-to-one or group interventions as directed by teaching staff.
- Encourage pupils to develop independence and resilience.
- Maintain clear communication with the wider team regarding pupil progress.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
- A Level 3 qualification.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or additional needs.
- Previous experience working with pupils on an EHCP.
- Calm, patient and consistent when helping pupils manage emotions.
- Able to build positive relationships with learners and encourage engagement.
- Confident working with small nurture groups.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Committed to helping pupils make academic and personal progress.
- Reliable, proactive and positive in a specialist environment.
