The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative on behalf of our client based in Knutsford. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, being part of a team, and learning new skills within a manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a Production Operative, you will be involved in a variety of workshop and production tasks, contributing to the efficient running of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling components from machined parts
- Using hand tools such as spanners etc
- Carrying out basic functional testing
- Supporting general workshop duties such as packing and dispatch
- Assisting with additional processes when required
- Working towards daily production targets as part of a team
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
- Basic data entry
This is a varied role where no two days are the same, and you'll play an important part in the overall production process.
What We're Looking For
Full training will be provided, so previous experience is not essential. However, the ideal candidate will:
- Have some experience in assembly or a manufacturing environment (advantageous but not required)
- Be reliable and take pride in their work
- Be comfortable with hand tools
- Be PC literate
- Have a positive attitude and work well as part of a team
- Be willing to learn and get involved
- Have basic numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
