We are seeking Support Workers to join our Core 24 Mental Health Team at Whiston Hospital, part of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust’s 24/7 Urgent Care Model.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver round‑the‑clock support to individuals in crisis across multiple hospital settings including Whiston Hospital, Warrington Hospital, Aintree Hospital, and the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
  • Carry out assigned duties that involve direct care and observation of service users under the guidance and indirect supervision of qualified staff.
  • Report observations and details of mental state and risk factors to qualified staff.
  • Work with service users on an individual and group basis as outlined in the care plan and directed by the appropriate named lead professional.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience working in a similar mental health or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Good communication, empathy and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
