Support Coordinator (Maternity cover) – Temporary Maternity cover (Starting Mid‑May 2026, 6‑month contract). Full time (37.5 hpw). Workplace: Worcestershire services, primarily Kidderminster area. Salary £27,500 per year / £14.06 per hour plus 34 days leave (rising to 39) and health cash plan worth over £1140.
Responsibilities
- Lead support planning and coordinate our Support Workers to deliver person‑centred support.
- Balance support, safeguarding, admin and meetings while guiding colleagues and managing caseloads.
- Support customers with daily tasks like budgeting, cooking and attending appointments.
- Work with multi‑agency teams to safeguard and empower our customers.
- Help customers build independence and prepare for their move‑on into the community.
Qualifications
- Passion and experience in supporting others, ideally in a supported housing setting.
- Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or are willing to work towards it).
- Experience assessing referrals and coordinating support.
- Ability to work under your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.
- Experience in creating support plans and risk assessments.
The practical bits
- Working shifts in Worcestershire area – Kidderminster and Worcester – mainly for the Kidderminster 24hr service.
- Variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends; staff currently work longer hours to condense working hours into fewer days—generally 12hr shifts.
- Need an Enhanced DBS with barring list (payment provided).
