Keele University Sport Centre is seeking a dedicated and customer‑focused individual to manage the gym and deliver fitness related activities for students, staff and the local community.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the safe operation of the gym and associated exercise equipment.
- Advise customers on the correct and safe use of equipment and recommend appropriate training programmes.
- Deliver excellent customer service to members of both group classes and individual clients.
- Assist the duty manager and cover the role as required.
Qualifications
- GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Fitness qualification – CIMSPA Level 2 or equivalent.
- Current or in‑progress first aid at work qualification.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, setting priorities and practising safe working practices.
- Broad knowledge of sport and up-to‑date good practice guidelines.
