The Department of Reproductive Medicine at Old Saint Mary's Hospital seeks enthusiastic Junior Clinical Fellows to gain clinical experience in Reproductive Medicine. This role provides an opportunity to run supervised clinics, handle modern fertility care, and complete departmental administrative tasks. While not a recognised training post, training needs will be met where possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outpatient clinics for couples presenting with subfertility, including those requiring assisted conception treatment. Clinics include virtual (video and telephone) and face‑to‑face sessions.
- Gain exposure to HFEA regulations, fertility preservation, and donor treatment cycles.
- Collaborate with other Clinical Fellows to manage the day‑to‑day care of patients undergoing assisted conception treatment, sharing responsibility for treating patients admitted with complications such as OHSS.
- Participate in audits and small clinical research projects, and engage with ongoing research initiatives within the unit.
- Cover unforeseen absence and occasional emergencies, performing additional duties as required by the consultant and in consultation with colleagues.
Development Opportunities
Subject to aptitude and eligibility, the post holder may develop skills in gynaecological/fertility scanning. The post holder will also be encouraged to become involved in research projects, contributing to the unit’s research activity.
