An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 24 for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated Housekeeper. Ward 24 consists of a 23 bedded general medical ward. The Housekeeper is an integral member of the team who will work alongside the Management and Nursing Team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of all nursing equipment, both in use on the ward and in store.
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness of all nursing equipment, both in use on the ward and in store.
- To ensure all equipment and the ward environment is in good working order at all times and report appropriately if not.
- Maintain Health and Safety in the workplace and complete risk assessments and electrical checks as required.
- To order and maintain an appropriate stock supply of consumables to unit via Oracle, telephone/email/hospital supply chain.
- Support ward staff with the serving of food and drinks for the patients.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform clerical tasks such as answering the telephone and use of the IT system Cerner.
