Childrens Ward at North Manchester General Hospital is recruiting a Housekeeper. This is a full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) to support the department with housekeeping duties.
Responsibilities
- Lead unit services such as catering, cleaning, equipment and supplies.
- Talk to and reassure patients.
- Order non‑clinical supplies.
- Keep the unit clean and tidy.
- Prepare snacks and drinks.
- Report faults and expiration dates of equipment.
- Ensure that all medical equipment is clean and well‑maintained.
- Order stores and equipment on the ward, using excellent computer skills.
- Assist in obtaining patient feedback using the What Matters To Me tracker and friend and family test.
- Help the team with continuous quality improvement work.
- Communicate effectively with nursing and domestic staff to maintain a safe, clean and organised clinical environment.
