MAKE A DIRECT IMPACT ON VULNERABLE YOUNG LIVES. Could you be the person who provides immediate safety and hope to homeless young people when they need it most? As our Homelessness Prevention Officer, you will coordinate life‑changing emergency accommodation through our Daystop / Nightstop services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage referrals and assess risk and support needs for vulnerable young people.
  • Coordinate safe placements with trained host households across the Black Country.
  • Provide practical and emotional support during crisis situations.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with referral agencies, volunteers and external professionals.
  • Monitor placements to ensure young people's safety and wellbeing.
  • Support young people on their journey towards stability and independence.

Location and Travel

Office based at YMCA Western Gateway, West Bromwich, B70 9LG; you must be able to travel across the Black Country to host households in your own vehicle.
