The Governors of Ysgol Bryn Castell Special School wish to appoint a Home School Liaison Officer to work with the community of Ysgol Bryn Castell to promote attendance, engagement, safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils supporting them to work towards achieving self-regulation and independence.
The successful candidate will use a positive, innovative, solution-focussed approach to support and provide specialist care, support and guidance to pupils with complex and challenging behaviour, and their parents, carers and families.
Ysgol Bryn Castell (YBC) is a community day special school maintained by Bridgend County Borough Council which provides education for pupils aged 7 to 19 years old with complex Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) including Autism alongside specific learning difficulties and other additional learning needs.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Children's Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
