Millison Chase Limited is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of a professional and growing transport operation specialising in general haulage deliveries throughout the UK. We are looking for reliable and professional drivers for ongoing full-time work.

This role involves completing collections and deliveries for a variety of palletised and general haulage goods while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and professionalism. Drivers can expect between 1 and 5 drops per shift depending on route allocation and delivery schedules. Some shifts may be long, so flexibility and a positive working attitude are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for consistent work, competitive PAYE pay rates, and support from a professional transport recruitment team.

HGV Class 1 Driver Duties

  • Completing general haulage deliveries and collections throughout the UK
  • Carrying out between 1 and 3 drops per shift
  • Ensuring all transport paperwork is completed accurately
  • Following all driver’s hours and tachograph regulations
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Operating vehicles safely and professionally at all times

Pay Rates

£16.00 per hour Monday to Friday; £20.00 per hour weekends. Occasional night out allowance: £25 per night out (optional nights out).

Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 Licence
  • Valid CPC Card
  • Valid Digi Card
  • Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • Applicants must not have any DR, DD, CU, MS, or TT endorsement codes showing on their licence
  • Drivers should be reliable, flexible, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
