The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

The Best Connection Group are looking for Class 1 Drivers for our client based in the Stoke – On – Trent area. We are seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our team, specialising in the transportation of timber. If you have a strong work ethic and excellent driving skills, we want to hear from you!

Work will involve completing store deliveries of timber products in various locations (usually 1 drop, can be up to 3). No loading or unloading is required but you will be required to securely strap the load down - training can be provided.

Pay rates are as follows:

  • Night shifts - £17.51 (between 16:00-22:00)
  • £19.16 (between 22:00 - 06:00)
  • £16.00 (between 06:00 - 16:00)

Days of work for night drivers - Sunday to Thursday with a start time of 17:30pm. An assessment is required prior to commencing work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to transport timber products to various locations.
  • Perform pre- and post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and road worthiness.
  • Secure timber loads using ratchet straps to prevent movement during transit.
  • Comply with all road traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
  • Perform routine vehicle management checks and report any issues promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on delivery sites.
  • Adhere to delivery schedules while maintaining a high level of safety.

  • CPC Driver Qualification Card.
  • Digi-Card Required.
  • Class 1 (LGVC+E) licence required.
  • Max 6 points (No DD/DR).
  • On-going assignment.
