Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye‑catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? If so, at eXPD8 we’re looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in Tesco Hereford.
About the role:
- Confirmed working days/hours: Wednesdays – 3.75 hours during store opening hours (start time is flexible).
- Vacancy split over multiple stores that will need to be visited on the same day.
- Tesco Hereford, Bewell Street, HR4 0BW
- Tesco Tupsley Express, HR1 Buckingham Inn, HR4
- Adhoc work in local area – Boots, T G Jones (as interested and agreed)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure fixtures are set up effectively.
- Display products and promotions attractively.
- Keep shelves well‑stocked.
- Maintain compliance with merchandising standards, store policies, procedures and health‑and‑safety guidance.
- Follow and implement planograms, where provided, to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
- Set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts and special offers.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with in‑store colleagues, especially department and store managers.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application, acting as the eyes and ears in the stores.
Qualifications:
- Experience of, or passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, meeting set time frames, using initiative to find solutions.
- Take pride in delivering great standards and service for clients.
- Comfortable with manual handling – moving and arranging products from warehouse to shop floor.
- Willing to accept home deliveries of point‑of‑sale or stock items for some visits (extra pay).
- Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer questions about tasks.
- Full UK driving license and access to a car.
