Salary: 11HC £51,356 - £55,915 plus market supplement of £5,000 per year (£56,356 - £60,915)

The Role
- Lead a team of five social workers, delivering robust short‑term quality assessments of need and fostering professional development.
- Work with a rotating duty element to keep pace and ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Manage and lead the Assessment team, securing high‑quality assessments of need.
- Allocate and prioritise workloads to keep each child’s care paramount.
- Develop team members and implement an effective, efficient service model.
- Prepare the team plan to meet objectives and performance targets.
- Produce assessment reports and manage complex cases.
About You
- Registered with Social Work England and hold a recognised qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ statutory social care experience.
- Strong assessment, report‑writing and case‑management skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning and decision‑making abilities.
- Committed to collaborative, inclusive working with families and partner agencies.
- Resilient, reflective and confident in managing complex situations.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced team environment, contributing to continuous learning.
