We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant (Catering) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 22.5 hours (4.5 hours Monday – Friday).
Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed term until 31st December 2026.
Location: Ty Penallta. Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Catering. This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.
We pay an attractive salary of £16,055 - £17,113 and offer access to training and development opportunities. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team supporting essential services for schools and communities. You will provide efficient and effective administration support to Catering Services.
Responsibilities:- Assess and authorise applications for free school meals.
- Produce and deliver management information.
- Liaise with schools and milk contractor with regards to school milk delivery changes, problems, queries and invoices.
- Assist in the production of marketing and promotional material for secondary schools.
- A Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- The ability to communicate accurately and concisely with external suppliers/bodies, officers of the Council.
- Use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience of general clerical / administrative work.
