The Sefton Suite are looking for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The Sefton Suite is a busy surgical ward with 16 beds based at Aintree University Hospital caring for pre and post operative patients. The successful applicant should be an experienced band 2/3 HCA, highly motivated with good interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure and work well within the team. They should have a keen desire to provide and maintain a high standard of care at all times. You must be flexible days and nights to meet the needs of the ward roster and the safe staffing of our ward.
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of a registered nurse assisting the Ward/Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carer.
- The post holder will undertake a range of tasks and duties as delegated by a registered nurse.
- You will be responsible for providing high standards of care.
- Your role will involve assisting the nursing staff with some clinical duties.
- Training will be arranged for you to achieve these skills.
- Being a Band 3 HCA also means you will lead by example and supervise and support junior members of staff to improve and maintain high standards of care.
