About the Job
We are looking to recruit a Health Link Worker who will be based at our Cornerstone Day Centre, a community centre for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Health Link worker will facilitate the Homeless Health Hub, speak to people who come into Cornerstone about our health offer, encouraging them to take it up.
Responsibilities
- Organise and run health promotion and wellbeing activities such as gardening, health walks, or creative activities.
- Support and motivate people who use the service to visit onsite health professionals or access mainstream health services.
- Use excellent customer service and IT skills to motivate and support people to make positive health choices and lifestyle changes.
Qualifications
- Experience promoting health care and wellbeing in a community setting.
- Experience working with people who are homeless or have substance or mental health problems.
Benefits
Hours: 37.5 per week, 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Fixed term contract until 31 March 2029.
