A Head of Technical role has to be the right fit for the person joining and there's loads of good reasons to have a look at working with these guys. They’re a family firm, close-knit and with an easy chain of command you’ll report straight into the Directors and run a team of five. They’re a growing business looking to roughly double their revenue over the next few years which offers long-term security. They’ve got a truly world class scheme on the horizon that any Technical and Design professional worth their salt would love to be part of - we're talking a 100 million scheme. And they are about to move into brand new self-built offices to support their long-term vision. They're basically a company on the up and going places.
This company are becoming one of THE go-to new build firms for social and affordable housing, priding themselves on the repeat business they’ve created down the years. But more recently, they have been diversifying and have started to move into PRS and developer lead schemes, one such scheme in Bolton is a true flagship project for ANY business and will deliver 400 apartments and hotel units over many types of build with high-rise elements involved.
Yes, they have already been through a thorough recruitment process which does mean we’ve narrowed down who they’re looking for. It’s most likely someone from a contractor background rather than a PLC housing background, someone likely architecturally or design focused who is procedurally determined and can roll that out and someone who is up-to-date with the Building Safety Act. As a Head Of Technical, that person will also be proficient with structural, engineering and drainage aspects, too.
Summary: Head of Technical wanted for new build housing contractor business in Manchester. Ideally, someone from a Design or Architectural background with good knowledge of the Building Safety Act would be preferred. A quick interview and start for this person, looking around the £75,000 mark plus a good package. We are happy to look at someone stepping up into the role if they have the right skillset.
