A day in the life of...

As Breakfast Barista you'll be responsible for ensuring that guests have a positive, first class dining experience. You'll greet guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and handle payments. You'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area, restocking supplies, and assisting with food preparation as needed whilst working agilely to support the rest of the wider business. Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are essential for this role and you'll always work with Aimbridge’s four pillars of Food and Beverage in mind: People, Product, Guest, Performance.

What do we need from you?

  • Prepare and serve a range of coffees, teas, and breakfast beverages to brand standards.
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service at all times.
  • Set up and maintain the breakfast and coffee service area before, during, and after service.
  • Complete the opening and closing procedures for the Grab & Go café, including stock replenishment, display preparation, cleaning, and equipment checks.
  • Ensure the Grab & Go displays are well presented, fully stocked, and compliant with food safety standards.
  • Operate coffee machines and maintain cleanliness of all equipment.
  • Handle guest requests and resolve minor complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Follow food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth breakfast service.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous barista or café experience preferred.
  • Experience within hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced morning service environment.
  • Flexible approach to shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent attention to cleanliness and presentation.
