We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Handyperson to join our friendly team. This is a varied role responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the care home facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe, well-presented, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. As a Handyperson you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across the care home. The role would suit somebody with a strong all-round maintenance background who takes pride in their work and enjoys working within a caring and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building maintenance and repairs
- Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating works
- Conduct routine health & safety and compliance checks
- Maintain the external grounds and communal areas
- Liaise with external contractors where required
- Ensure maintenance issues are resolved efficiently and safely
Essential
- Previous experience within a maintenance, facilities, or handyperson role
- Good all-round practical maintenance skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Friendly and professional approach
