Our client, a well-established franchise-approved car dealership in Gloucester, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated automotive professional to progress their career within a reputable dealer group known for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Competitive basic salary of up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience. Performance-related monthly bonus scheme with potential annual earnings of £40,000 to £45,000. Overtime available, paid at time and a half, including Saturdays - 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days with service. Access to manufacturer-approved training programmes. Duties:
- Conduct fault diagnosis, vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Ensure all faults are accurately diagnosed and reported to the Workshop Controller.
- Maintain vehicle safety, reliability, and performance through high-quality workmanship.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and quality procedures at all times.
- Work efficiently within a team to meet productivity targets.
- Keep thorough records of work carried out and parts used.
- Assist with vehicle inspections and roadside diagnostics as required.
- Support colleagues in a professional, customer-focused environment.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Preferably hold an active MOT licence.
- Ability to produce high-quality work within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Motivated individual with a proactive approach to work.
- Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester.
