Location: Lift Offa's Mead, Beachley Road, Sedbury, Chepstow, Gloucestershire, NP16 7DT
Salary: NJC 10 £27,694
Lift Offa's Mead is a primary school situated a mile outside Chepstow, within commutable distance of Bristol and Wales. Approximately a third of our pupils are from military families, as we serve nearby Beachley Barracks.
Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with teachers to support the learning and attainment of students, promoting their independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion.
- Provide support to children so that they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
- Assist with classroom management and day‑to‑day tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Understanding of a range of pupils’ learning needs.
- Patience, calm demeanour and empathy when interacting with a variety of students.
- Ability to engage and enthuse students to want to learn.
