Responsibilities:
- Conduct proportionate investigations into a range of crime types.
- Obtain and record witness statements in accordance with legislation.
- Prepare and manage investigation files for criminal justice processes.
- Carry out suspect and witness interviews (following PIP1/PIP2 guidance).
- Gather, analyse and evaluate intelligence and evidence.
- Conduct house-to-house enquiries and CCTV/tracking enquiries.
- Liaise with victims, keeping them updated on investigation progress.
- Support officers with case building, file management and disclosure.
- Maintain accurate records on relevant police systems.
