voco St.David’s Cardiff & Hotel Indigo Gloucester are on the lookout for a dynamic Cluster Finance Associate to join our Finance team! We are offering a salary of £30,400.00. This role can be based in either Cardiff or Gloucester, with some travel between properties required – the frequency will be dictated by the performance of the property.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Support the Finance team in producing monthly accounts, meeting deadlines, and adhering to IHG policies.
- Manage the Procurement System and assist with billing and query resolution.
- Complete the income audit and resolve imbalances with team members.
- Handle various Ad Hoc accounting requests as needed.
- Maintain strong relationships with the finance and hotel teams, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolution of issues.
To succeed as our Cluster Finance Associate, you will need:
- An accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) or relevant practical experience, with an interest in working towards a professional qualification is desired.
- A collaborative approach who enjoys teamwork and working closely with colleagues across departments.
- Experience working with Head Office or Offshore Accounting functions (advantageous but not essential).
- A good understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit and Payroll - ideally within the hospitality industry.
- Solid knowledge of accounting processes and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Experience using financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Opera/Micros, Procure Wizard and Oracle is preferred.
