HOURS: 08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Friday

PAY: £40,000pa - £50,000pa depending on experience

Permanent Job

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, in particular, listening skills. Technical and numerical skills, and the ability to source new clients in existing and new sectors. Ideally you will have a technical qualification or background and an understanding of engineering and technical “steel” solutions. Must be a confident communicator and experience with delivering CPD presentations. Must be able to identify opportunities, bid, follow up, negotiate and bring projects onboard.

Duties:

  • Identifying high value clients within the industry to bring in value sales
  • Promoting our core business services
  • Contacting prospective customers both face to face and on the telephone, email and TEAMS
  • Utilise CRM system as well as in house systems
  • Onboarding new customers and jobs
  • Communicating with clients ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management skills
  • Driving to visit prospective and new customers when required (mileage paid)
  • Working with Estimating team and management.

Requirements:

  • Good IT knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
  • Experience or producing and presenting PowerPoint presentations
  • Proficiency in Excel for data management
  • Effective time management capabilities
  • Office organisational skills for efficient workflow

This role has an initial probationary period of 3 months with review.
