Highways Drainage Location: Glastonbury Salary: Circa Β£50,000 + Company Vehicle or Car Allowance + Benefits
Our client, a fast-growing drainage contractor, is seeking an experienced, proactive, and driven Contract Manager in Warwickshire.
In this pivotal role, you will manage and resource a wide range of operational drainage activities, including gully emptying, reactive jetting, root cutting, CCTV surveys, and traffic management.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated drainage / highways professional to lead a key contract and drive operational success.
The Role
- Overall responsibility for contract delivery, health & safety, and monthly P&L
- Lead a small, agile depot team in a flexible and innovative environment
- Coordinate and plan on-site resources, ensuring safe working practices at all times
- Manage contract performance, standards, and targets
- Line management a team of circa 40 drainage personnels, handling any performance issues
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Develop, monitor, and manage the works programme and schedule of rates
- Oversee cost control, monthly applications, and contract pricing
- Conduct regular site audits with a focus on safety and quality
About You
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager or similar within the drainage, highways or utilities industry
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Skilled in managing safe working practices
- CSCS card holder & health and safety qualification (SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely)
- Excellent team leadership, planning, and client-facing skills
