About The Role

Location: Fern Brook Lodge Care Home, Shaftesbury Road, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4QD

Pay rate: £13.80 per hour

Hours: Bank (flexible shifts to suit your availability, with no guaranteed hours)

Shift Patterns:

  • Days: 08:00 – 20:00
  • Nights: 20:00 – 08:00

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a care setting, including care planning and medication administration.
  • Strong communication skills and leadership potential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting others and promoting independence.
  • Hold, or be happy to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Passion for delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision and support to Care Assistants.
  • Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs and preferences.
  • Promote independence and dignity in all aspects of care.
