Join Fern Brook Lodge Care Home as a Care & Support Assistant on the Bank Team (Days or Nights). Your main responsibility is to provide person‑centred care to residents, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and happiness.
Location: Fern Brook Lodge, Shaftesbury Road, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4QD
Bank – Flexible Shifts: No guaranteed hours. Shift patterns: Day: 08:00‑20:00 (full shift), 08:00‑14:00 (morning), 14:00‑20:00 (afternoon). Night: 20:00‑08:00.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with personal care and mobility needs.
- Encourage and support residents to stay independent and active.
- Build genuine friendships and provide companionship.
- Support residents in daily living and personal hygiene.
- Ensure a positive, team‑focused atmosphere within the home.
- Follow the HEART values – Honesty, Excellence, Approach, Respect and Teamwork – in all interactions.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- No previous care experience required; customer‑service experience, community support or strong empathy is desirable.
- Unable to offer visa sponsorship.
