Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and support their on‑site nursery provision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years education, who enjoys supporting children aged 3-4 in a safe, creative, and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting children in their daily routines, play, and early learning activities
  • Assisting nursery staff with planned lessons and free‑flow learning
  • Creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment
  • Supporting with personal care routines where required
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
  • Communicating effectively with staff and pupils
  • Ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are always met

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working with children (early years experience desirable but not essential)
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
  • Right to work in the UK
