Solid Stampings Ltd, Cradley Heath, would like to recruit an experienced General Operator. Solid Stampings is closely associated with The Solid Swivel Company Ltd., which was established in 1910 and has a long history of manufacturing quality engineered products here in the midlands and is a renowned local employer.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team forging, clipping, punching.
  • Furnace loading and unloading.
  • Assist in setting dies and tooling on: Covmac upset forging machines; Forging hammers; Power Presses.
  • Grinding & linishing.
  • Cold Punching components.
  • Maintain periodic checks during forging runs for mismatch and other faults.
  • Inform supervision or quality inspector of any equipment or quality issues.
  • Work bookings onto Visual system as required.
  • Fork Lift Truck Driving.
  • General duties include: Packing, saw cutting and general maintenance.
  • Undertake training as required to fulfil the role of General Operator.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • Forging.
  • Clipping.
  • Grinding.
  • Inspection.
  • Fork Lift Truck Driving Licence.
  • Specific training on our products and equipment will be provided as required for the role.

Four Working days: Monday - Thursday

29 days holiday per year

Hourly Rate Dependent upon knowledge and experience.
