Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive, user‑centred support and advice to a caseload of refugee families.
  • Build and manage constructive relationships with clients, building trust and managing cases over several months.
  • Plan and prepare arrangements for new arrivals, including accommodation and practical arrangements.
  • Refer families to appropriate service providers and support the contact process.
  • Assist families with necessary paperwork to access services, making applications and claims.
  • Maintain accurate case records and monitor data in line with the Service Level Agreement and provide reporting.

Qualifications

  • Grades A‑C in GCSE.
  • HND qualification or equivalent, or significant experience delivering person‑centred support.
  • Formal qualification and/or relevant experience in the Refugee/Third sector.
  • Experience providing benefits, housing or debt advice to vulnerable people.
  • Experience making decisions about own caseload, managing time and prioritising workloads.
  • Excellent knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector services related to benefits, housing and financial capability.
  • Strong understanding of the UK benefits system, housing regulations and financial management.
  • Experience managing a caseload of benefits, housing or financial capability.
  • Understanding of UK benefits system processes and housing regulations.
  • Experience working within a diverse team to achieve client outcomes.
  • Strong ICT skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Flexible work hours to meet service needs.
