Location: Telford + Global travel

Duration: Permanent

Salary: up to circa £50k+ per annum (experience dependant and including OT) + Enhanced benefit package

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and highly reputable engineering organisation that provides specialist technical systems to customers worldwide. They are now looking to recruit a Field Service Technician who will play a key role in delivering high quality technical support, installation, and servicing of equipment across a global customer base. This position offers to work within a skilled engineering team while travelling internationally and supporting cutting edge systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintaining systems and equipment at customer sites worldwide
  • Providing technical support to UK and overseas customers via phone and email
  • Performing testing and inspection of equipment
  • Conducting fault finding and diagnostics on systems and equipment
  • Building electrical and mechanical systems from engineering drawings to production standards
  • Installing and commissioning systems and equipment at customer locations worldwide
  • Participating in scheduled weekend support as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in servicing electro-mechanical equipment, ideally currently in a Field Service Engineer / Field service Technician type capacity
  • Apprentice trained in electrical / mechanical discipline
  • 18th Edition certified
  • Supporting and servicing OEM equipment
  • Using Microsoft packages confidently
  • Electrical control diagnostics
  • Computer diagnostics (preferred)
  • Robot programming experience (preferred)
