A female Personal Assistant (PA) is required to provide support with daily living and household tasks. The support will include:

  • Housekeeping, laundry, changing beds and general cleaning.
  • Helping to organise and create a more ordered home environment.
  • Support with planning and preparing healthy meals that meet the needs of the family.
  • Support with online food shopping including navigating the website and managing online food shopping.
  • Reminders to eat, wash and take medication.
  • Body doubling to complete paperwork and other tasks, alongside practical household support.
  • Preparing breakfast and other meals when needed.
  • Occasional hair washing if required.
  • Support to access the community, including short walks with the dog.

The individual is looking for a compassionate, understanding PA who is happy to work alongside them, provide encouragement and help them stay on task. The ability to understand and support women with ADHD and autism is important. The individual experiences chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia and FND, and support needs can vary from week to week. They may also experience panic attacks, so a calm and reassuring approach is essential.

Requirements:

  • Female PA only
  • Self-employed £17.15 per hour
  • 3 hours per week
  • Preferred times are 9.30am–10.30am on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, depending on PA availability.
  • Open to a 3 hour session once a week.
  • Non-smoker and non-vaper
  • No strong perfumes/fragrances, as a family member is very sensitive to smells.
  • Compassionate, patient and reliable.
  • Comfortable providing both practical support and companionship.
  • Understanding of ADHD and autism is desirable.
  • A good sense of humour, patience and the ability to work flexibly around changing needs would be particularly valued.
