Female Support Worker required for a female gender specific home for 9 women with mainly mental health support needs. We provide a range of activities including bowling, walking, cinema, shopping, holidays, arts and crafts, cooking and eating out. We work closely with individuals with self-harm and suicide ideation using Mental Health relapse prevention plans and early trigger/warning sign management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and routine to the residents.
  • Prompt independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Support and encourage personal skill development through hobbies and interests.
  • Assist with health care needs, including accompanying appointments or administering medication.
  • Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
  • Assist with personal care as required.
  • Assist with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
