    Hourly Pay: £15.26 - £16.04 (depending on experience and qualifications)
    Part-Time Role: 7 shifts over 4 weeks (13-hour shifts)
    Salary: £18,052 - £18,975 per year

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing overnight supervision and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and comfort throughout the night.
  • Implementing care plans and support strategies as directed by senior staff, maintaining stability and consistency.
  • Responding promptly and appropriately to emergencies, incidents, or behavioural challenges that may arise during the night.
  • Maintaining accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people to support their development and wellbeing.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to deliver high‑quality care and support.
  • Adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality requirements at all times.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally within residential care, social care, or support environments.
  • A relevant qualification such as a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or equivalent (or a willingness to work towards one).
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the relevant checks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, professional, and resilient in challenging situations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping.
  • Flexibility to work waking night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
