Help us provide good quality primary care to our patients by acting as the patient liaison and reception manager at Hilary Cottage Surgery in Fairford. You will be the friendly face of the practice, ensuring a professional, positive and welcoming experience for patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage up to 8 receptionists and oversee the secretarial and admin team.
- Handle new patient registrations, on‑line access management and patient bookings.
- Oversee the complaints process and Significant Events process.
- Collect, distribute and analyse patient feedback.
- Support the practice at Patient Participation Group (PPG) meetings.
- Manage private report requirements from patients.
- Provide administrative support to all staff for patient‑support activities.
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls, taking messages and responding to queries.
- Maintain and update protocols and processes related to team activities.
- Assist with gathering statistics and information when required.
- Advise the Practice Manager on clerical and administrative duties as needed.
- Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager.
Working Hours
6 to 7 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Hilary Cottage Surgery is a small rural practice in Fairford, Gloucestershire, with around 35 staff and 7,500 patients. The practice is run by three GP partners and supported by a dedicated admin, dispensing and nursing team. The work environment values well‑being, teamwork and a friendly, supportive culture.
