We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on quality and precision. Experience in the fabrication of mild steel components is essential. The Fabricator/Welder will play a crucial part in assembling components and ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality.
Duties:
- Operation of appropriate welding plant, hand and electric tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and perform fabrications and welding within the set tolerance.
- Assemble parts using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication.
- Record daily safety checks on welding plant and equipment.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Requirements:
- Must be qualified to fabricate free hand and using welding aids to manufacture products to engineering drawings.
- Proven experience in hydraulic fitting is essential.
