A supportive and nurturing alternative provision in Manchester City Centre is seeking a dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist setting, supporting young children with additional needs at a crucial stage in their development.
The Role
As an EYFS SEN TA, you will support pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging, play‑based learning while providing tailored support to help each child develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for EYFS pupils with SEN
- Assist in delivering creative, play‑based learning activities
- Support children with needs such as ASD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
- Help promote communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working within EYFS and supporting children with SEN
- A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong understanding of early childhood development
- Good behaviour management and communication skills
