We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming secondary school in Chorley. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire students and make a real impact within a thriving music department.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons in line with the national curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 depending on experience).
  • Teach practical and theoretical elements of Music.
  • Support students' musical development through performance, composition, and listening.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community and department.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Passionate about Music education and student development.
  • Able to commit to a full-time, long-term role.
